Last year was my first year trapping and mainly trapped water. Well I bought 2 #4 4x4 and 12 #3 duke rubber jaws. I have modified the traps the way I want them (except for night latching) and want to do some land trappin next year. What are some good lures for fox, coyote, and cats.

All around if you are trappin them 3 lay in some dirt holes and cubbies-I use Hiawatha valley, powder river cat and wild cat urine...in one place last season had all 3 didnt know what was going to be in the trap, sure was intersting, did notice grays and cats in the bottoms to half way on the hillsides, yotes were working the top sets[overgrown field]

What are some good lures for fox, coyote, and cats, you ask... I honestly couldn't tell ya about fox lure as I have no experience with fox. For cat and yote, about any product that has been around for some time will be attractive to one or the other (otherwise, it would have been taken off the market). Some lures/baits tend to perform a little better in certain areas of the country (my opinion) but I'm sure all "name brand" products will catch fur anywhere (more of my opinion..lol)! For songdogs, I have had luck with the following: Swamp Dog, Violator-7, GH-II, Gusto, Crossbones, and plain ole "fresh urine" be it bobcat or yote. For bobcats, pretty much the same as listed above for yotes! I do have some fav's when it come to baits: Last Dance Bait, Hiawatha Valley Predator Bait, My-T-Mouse, and Funke's Predator Buffet.

I just don't have many cats near me bbut for canines I'm partial to carmen lures pros choice and carmans proffessinal grade circle maker are two top producers for me, like most i have several others i use also. for bait nothing beats beaver meat fresh or put up with bait makers solution. two solutions i have used are dobbins( real good stuff) and high noons(have yet to give it a fair test)
