i am new snaring and was wondering what would be a good method for securing a snare. I trap in areas with extremely rocky soil so stakes are not always an option. I was thinking of using tie wire and securing to a large tree. Will the wire hold? I was also thinking of tryin this with traps

i make all my snares with an adjustable loop on one end just open up feed the lock end threw around a tree works great

then i would use an extenson cable i try to stay away from wire . i will have some at the spring meeting for sale

I will agree with extension cable, attach with swivels they are usually reusable
