how realistic is it to be a small time adc trapper. I aint looking to make a living at it. Just a supplamental income. I know not to get in over my head and try a job i cant handle and i plan on getting some video courses and pick up knowledge anywhere i can. If i get offered a job i cant handle i plan on referring them to another company. Right now the only person i know that does it is scott...lol like i said i am just looking for some extra money to help curb the costs of going fishing..lol.

a lot of it depends on the area you live in the more country it is the less work you will get but you can still make a little you just need to make sure you can get anuff work to pay for your ins. which you will have to have before twra will give you a permit. i would recomend getting mike mcmillins adc dvds they will help you alot. and i will be willing to help all i can

thanx for the info and will probably need some help from you..lol yeah i knew about the insurance. I call my insurance guy and he said he would have me a quote in the morning. Is there some kind of test? I know the lady i talked to said i would have to prove i have wildlife experience. I have hunted and fished since a kid. I am newer to trapping but between two friends that have trapped since the early seventies i have learned alot. Heck there still showing practice sets in the off season. I also have been putting my trail cams to good use making sets without traps to see how animals react. I still feel a little green but i have learn tons and tons. I may delay all this a bit. Right now i am mainly info getting. The dvds you are talking about are the ones i planned on getting. Good to know the are good. I plan on getting the complete course. Its $235 but i figured it would be worth it. On the business aspect. I plan on trying to get some contacts ahead of time.

the tfha is having a meeting in morristown on july 23 you can use the trapping demos as trapper training to show the state your going out of your way to learn more. we might beable to even work out where you can come down here for a day or i can come to your place for a day of one on one trapper training and you could use that as trapper training on your permit application
