im guessing body grips in runs and pinch points with dive sticks, coils on castor mounds on drowners near feeding areas? i dont water trap much so i would love corrections

The first thing I did after seeing the spots in the pictures was I scouted. Co control work for the county by law I can go 300 off the road anytime of the year. So I did, and I found this. I used nothing but leg holds. I use castor and scent mounds. As it was late summer I also employed corn juice and a very very sweet coon gel lure (not coon glands at all). At both of these runs I but mounds on both sides and half up one run I dumped corn juice the other run the very sweet coon lure. A total of 4 sets and they were about 75 yards off the road and well out of sight from by passers. 4 sets and 13 beaver later my job here was done.

we got a 15 foot right of way here on county work so at times i can check traps from the road

we got a 15 foot right of way here on county work so at times i can check traps from the road Scat, doing the work for the county I am allowed to go 300 from the road. I did not put anysets visiable from the road. Out of sight out of mind. I did not use the 300 feet the law says I can,the furthest was maybe 60-70, out of sight out of mind right.
