cam locks are hard to beat but don't fit my situation very well. so many fidos' allowed to roam the countryside and on the public lands (TVA) plenty of hunting hounds so i pretty much stick to the snareshop penny locks and avoid entanglements and conflicts

Years back, 24 or so, those one shot Gregersons or how ever you spell it, and I think it was Thompson or one like it was all I had used, and liked the Thompson, just fliped it over to make the loop nice and round. Now, I think the Lo pro or Micro are great, but if them slims are better, will have to try that too................Scott, do you feel like they are faster and hold as good or better?

scott, the swan neck thing, is that the bend your making near the snare lock stop? as the pic in your otter snaring thread? do you also "load" your snares?
your putting out a lot of good info, sure to help newcomer and old vets like me, never quit learning, thanks scott.

I just looked back at the post, and saw the swan neck. and like it. After dealing with some snares, that were bought by someone, and given to me, and now know why they did. They were no were near right, and this company should know how to do it..... I had to redo them all, and not to mention, they did not make then right either, no loading at all, but wont get into that at all.................... One thing I did notice on a post somewhere, they had break away things on them, and that looked like they made a nice loop, really liked that.
That lock you were using, in the Otter post Scott, is that the one you mentioned may be your new favorite? I like the way that one hangs, a lot! if they slide good and hold, I may have a new fav too!
